Scope e-Knowledge Center (Scope), a leading provider of knowledge services and a Quatrro Global Services company, is pleased to announce the launch of its indexing solution InDEXr. InDEXr is the latest addition to the list of platform-based services from Scope designed to serve as content enrichment and discovery solutions to help publishers and online information providers.

The InDEXr platform offers exciting features such as keyword indexing, controlled vocabulary-based indexing, indexing named entities, geospatial tagging and multimedia indexing. As with all Scope services, teams of domain specific subject matter experts (SMEs) curate InDEXr output to ensure highest quality levels. InDEXr increases retrieval precision and comprehensive recall of content, thus minimizing conceptually-irrelevant documents in search results. Further, the flexible modules of the solutions can be customized to meet the specific requirements of customers without any upfront software licensing cost or customization fees.

On the launch of InDEXr, Tram Venkatraman, President of Scope, commented, "Poor indexing and irrelevant search results pose real challenges for researchers. Also, incomplete indexing causes many relevant documents to be missed in a user query. Generally, relying on authors and editorial staff for indexing is not ideal due to inconsistencies and publication delays. With over a decade of experience in offering outsourced indexing services for technical documents, Scope has created the InDEXr platform to increase retrieval precision and comprehensive recall of content, thus minimizing the conceptually-irrelevant documents in the search results."

Scope's Chief Operating Officer, M. A. Eswaran added, "Indexing has long been associated with extracting keywords from documents to be used as basic metadata in search interfaces. However, to meet today's user needs, indexing of more than just basic text is required. Users want precise search results for not only textual content, but also images, graphs, data tables, maps and other supplemental data, which requires a more robust, deep indexing solution "
