Ricky Sinclair knows that growing up in today's world is a difficult experience. A quick look at headlines reveals the many horrors that occur on a daily basis. From crime to premarital sex to substance abuse, today's teenagers face a long list of temptations. In order to strengthen their ability to live the life God has intended, Sinclair has led the development of Miracle Place Church's Youth Ministries.

Teenagers: Facing Unique Challenges

Teenagers must overcome a great deal during their adolescent years. First and foremost, they have to undergo the physical changes that occur during this time. That, alone, can cause a lot of stress and confusion. But kids simultaneously have to determine who they are, to iron out their identity and define what they want out of life.

The media pulls teenagers in many directions. As it tries to persuade them about the glories of premarital sex and the glamour of drinking and drugs, many kids try to hold onto the values that their parents have instilled in them. This can become increasingly difficult, though, as children achieve a greater level of independence.

In order to strengthen the spiritual resolve of teens, Ricky Sinclair has developed a youth ministries program. This program is designed to arm kids with the knowledge they need to fight the temptations of the world and stay on the path that Christ has created for them.

Developing Spiritual Strength

One of the ways that MPC Youth Ministries can help is by creating a social environment. In this way, it is able to provide teenagers with the chance to spend time with kids who share their values. As such, they can find strength in numbers and stand up against the sins of the world together.
Ricky Sinclair Encourages Teenagers to Learn the Gospel

Additionally, the youth ministries program offers the education that kids need to make smart decisions on their own. Every parent wants their children to lead a life of which God would approve. However, parents want their kids to make the decision to do so, not to do so blindly. By teaching them the word of God, youth ministries provide teenagers with a better understanding of the Gospel. Next time they are faced with a temptation, they can call upon this understanding to lead them to the right decision.

Ricky Sinclair knows that today's world is full of sin. Every day, kids are faced with temptation at school, at work, and even at home. But Ricky Sinclair has faith in the spiritual integrity of today's youth. Ricky Sinclair knows that, with the right understanding of the Gospel, kids will make the decisions that are in line with God's plan.
