Red Day 2012 at Keller Williams Realty
Jupiter, FL - 5/11/12 Volunteering and community involvement still have meaning for some; Keller Williams Realty associates from Jupiter and Palm Beach Gardens got together on Thursday, May 10 to give back to their communities.
Online, May 16, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Keller Williams associates from these offices joined together to "Give Where They Live" as part of one of the biggest events in the real estate industry: RED Day.
RED Day is a day where Keller Williams Realty offices unite to "Renew, Energize and Donate." It began as an international day of service, and during RED Day 2011, over 40,000 Keller Williams associates participated in service activities such as food and blood drives, yard work for neighbors in need, cleaning up trash in public parks and more. On RED Day 2011, Keller Williams associates donated more than 190,000 hours of service, making this one of the biggest events in the real estate industry.
For this year's RED Day, Keller Williams of Jupiter and Keller Williams of the Palm Beaches partnered with the Solid Waste Authority's "Paint Your Heart Out" program to spend the day painting three homes. Keller Williams associates also visited Place of Hopes' sister community "Villages of Hope," to assist with much-needed renovations. KW associates finished the day hosting a fundraiser for a daughter of a KW associate, who was critically injured in a car-surfing accident and has been in a medically induced coma for more than 10 days.
"This event is an entrenched part of Keller Williams Realty's culture, and displays the extraordinary effect a company can have when individuals come together to work as a team for the greater good of everyone," said Team Leader, Michael Brue. "Last year, we partnered with Habitat for Humanity and built five homes in the Jupiter area. We can't tell you what an impact it made on each of us personally - it felt so great to give back to the community we know and love."
