Wise Men Gain Rare RICS Recognition

1st for the construction and repair industry. 1st in the UK and Worldwide. In an industry facing a crisis of confidence, a small Scottish based firm achieves a rare achievement

A small Scottish based business has been honoured with the rare distinction of becoming the first property repair company in the UK to be regulated by RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors).

Wise Property Care, based in the south side of Glasgow, has achieved a unique status within a highly competitive industry that is currently facing a crisis in confidence among the public.

Recent research by the Federation of Master Builders (FMB) showed that 20% of consumers worried about hiring shoddy tradespeople and that one in ten consumers had no idea how to find a reputable contractor.

Becoming the first company outside of the RICS’s typically regulated clientele was no easy task, and Wise Property Care MD Les Meikle is extremely proud to see his company welcomed into the RICS family.

“It gives me great pleasure to announce that Wise Property Care is now regulated by the RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors).” Said Mr Meikle

“Wise are the first property preservation company in the UK and possibly the World to be afforded this honour and it is something I am taking very seriously.”

This is not the first accolade Wise Property Care have achieved.  They have already been rated and approved by The Property Care Association, Which? and Trust Mark to name a few and were recently made an official “Living Wage Employer” by The Living Wage Foundation. Despite this, Mr Meikle sees regulation by the RICS as something quite special and hopes that this latest accolade will make them stand out as a trustworthy leader in their field.

“Even though we are extremely proud of all our other professional memberships, The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors is probably the benchmark regulatory standard for most people within the property industry.”
