Vita International - the Media to Empower the Third Sector

November sees the launch of Vita International (http://www.vitainternational.media), a new media hoping to become the voice of European civil society.

November sees the launch of Vita International, a new media hoping to become the voice of European civil society. Such a noble aim all started with the news website launched on 11 November by Vita Group, the multimedia content company, creator and publisher of the leading Italian third sector magazine Vita.

Featuring an exclusive interview with the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security, Federica Mogherini, on the eve of the EU-Africa Summit on Migration, Vita International’s debut aims to offer passionate, independent insight into Europe’s most challenging issues, all the while exploring how civil society is responding to them.

European civil society finally speaks with one voice

Vita International follows the same mission that led to the creation of Vita magazine in 1994, giving voice to Italian non-profit organisations’ requests through a shared and independent media.

Thanks to the 2014 merger with software company K Group and the strengthening of the company’s consulting department, today Vita’s multidisciplinary team is willing to offer civil society organisations its digital, consulting and content-producing company expertise.

Near future

We plan to launch tailored newsletters, along with a quarterly print edition in September 2016 and a calendar of events, all focused on Vita International’s main topics and organised together with our network of partners.

Editorial advisory committee

Today Vita’s Italian editorial advisory committee is an active community made up of 66 of Italy’s main non-profit organisations, all together aiming to play an active role in policy-making.

Vita International is now working on the development of a European editorial advisory committee, aimed at gathering together the protagonists of civil society in Europe. It aims to be a point of reference for the European non-profit and volunteer sectors in Brussels, planning and carrying out advocacy work, as part of a joint strategic effort to have an impact on European policy-making.

About Vita

Created in 1994 to give voice to the Italian non-profit sector, over the years Vita has grown into a multimedia content company, providing strategic marketing consultancy, content creation services and digital solutions, primarily in sustainability, philanthropy and social business.

We would like to replicate the Italian experience and success in other regions, starting from the heart of Europe – Brussels.

Besides its monthly magazine Vita, the daily news website dedicated to the non-profit world Vita.it and the African news website Afronline, Vita develops and produces editorial products for international organisations such as WWF, CTA and the European Foundation Centre. Today, Vita has newsrooms in Brussels and Milan.

Vita is listed on the Milan AIM Stock Exchange
