SpotSpot, LLC Launches Android Mobile App Designed to Find Missing Dogs and Cats, Eliminate 'Lost Pet' Signs
SpotSpot, LLC announces the launch of its newest product, Spot Spot - a social lost pet finder app designed to help people quickly and safely find their missing dog or cat. The app is currently available for free download in the Google Play Store.
Reston, VA, May 27, 2015 (Newswire.com) - SpotSpot, LLC, an independent mobile app development company, today announced the launch of its titular application, Spot Spot. The Spot Spot app, currently available for free in the Google Play Store, is designed to help pet owners quickly and easily reunite with their missing pet.
Devised to be simple and user friendly, the application works by granting pet owners the ability to leverage the power of their local community to search for and, ultimately, find their lost dog or cat. When a pet is reported missing, an alert (via a push notification) is sent to users within a seven-mile radius, creating a community search party. At the time a pet has been found, the Spot Spot user can send an email to the dog or cat’s owner, reuniting him or her with their pet. Similarly, Spot Spot users who find stray pets have the ability to create a ‘found pet’ alert, which notifies users near by.
The intention of Spot Spot is to eliminate the need for the inefficient and outdated practice of taping ‘missing pet’ signs to the light post.
