Smashon Appoints Dr. Matt Hansen as President and Paul Zimmerman as VP Legal Affairs & Business

San Jose, California, April 13, 2015 (Newswire.com) - The Smashon, Inc. Board of Directors is pleased to announce Dr. Matt Hansen as the President of the company. In addition to his academic accomplishments, Matt is a Doctor of Physical therapy and the founder and CEO of SOMA Health, LLC.  He’s not only intimately familiar with the world of health and fitness educationally and professionally, but he is also an entrepreneur with a proven track record of success in that same sphere. Matt has held senior executive roles at different health and fitness companies in the past; is a contributing writer for the reputed national health and medicine magazine, IgLiving, and a volunteer writer for international health and patient advocacy groups.

Of his several recent Honors and Awards, Matt is the recipient of a Platinum MARCOM AWARD, the Utah Association of Homecare Therapist of the Year Service Award, and the Harmony Home Health & Hospice Director of the Year Award. He received both his Masters and Doctorate degrees from the University of Utah in Physical Therapy.

Perhaps just as importantly, Matt brings with him strong personal and professional ties to the exciting industry of health and fitness. Over the coming weeks he will be working with the CEO of Smashon to refine and put the final touches on our anticipated business expansion and launch into new markets.

Smashon is also excited to announce Paul Zimmerman as Smashon’s Vice President of Business and Legal Affairs. Paul is an attorney, analyst, and veteran of the startup world. He holds degrees in Economics (with honors) and Politics (with highest honors) from UC Santa Cruz where he graduated in 2006. Before obtaining his J.D. at the UC Davis School of Law he served as a Business and Data Analyst with a startup in Redwood City, CA.

Paul brings a wealth of knowledge in the fields of business, market and financial analysis, as well as a deep understanding of business and transactional law. He leverages that knowledge to produce actionable insights and render substantive guidance on company policy and business initiatives.
