At IBC 2015 to be held in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, September 10-15, SmartLabs will present brand new designs for their STBs and remote controls.

New enclosures open up new opportunities for Interactive TV operators and their subscribers.

At IBC 2015 to be held in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, September 10-15, SmartLabs will present brand new designs for their STBs and remote controls. The SML-482 and SML-582 series of IPTV/OTT and hybrid STBs, as well as the miniature SML Stick, now have a striking new look and delivery has already started to operators across the globe.

The new colorful enclosures allow operators to reinforce their branding and differentiate their service from the competition without the expense of commissioning a completely bespoke product. The STBs and remote controls can be easily customized during production using specially designed colour panels.

At IBC 2015 SmartLabs will also debut its new "hidden" Ultra HD STB. With its compact footprint and RF remote control support, you can easily hide the STB behind a TV stand or discreetly wall-mount it. The device can be completely hidden out of sight and you can place it a distance from your TV, reducing clutter around your screen and improving Wi-Fi reception.

"We are improving our STBs in every respect: we have upgraded their hardware, software and design. Today, we are delighted to offer operators and their subscribers our enhanced STBs and remote controls and we are confident that they will be very appealing to our growing international customer base. Our customers will impress their subscribers by delivering appealing modern devices to perfectly complement their interactive TV service," said SmartLabs CEO Mikhail Grachev.
