RYDE's Transportation Shuttles Bring Faithful to Pope Francis' Mass in Philadelphia

Millions to Converge on Benjamin Franklin Parkway for the World Meeting of Families; RYDE to Help Expedite Access to Event of a Lifetime

As millions of people begin the pilgrimage to see Pope Francis during his visit to Philadelphia for the World Meeting of Families, RYDE is doing their part to help get them get there efficiently and economically. RYDE, a crowdsourcing transportation company with experience in large venue attractions, has developed shuttle routes from all over the East Coast and beyond to bring worshippers to the Pope’s Mass at 4:00pm on Sunday, September 27. Following transportation protocols established by the City of Philadelphia in anticipation of unrivaled traffic issues, RYDE will have access to special bus drop off zones and get people closer to the event than can be achieved by single-car driving. Even then, worshippers will still need to walk up to 2 ½ miles to get to the venue. RYDE is working with regional Dioceses and local churches to arrange group transportation, as well as marketing to individuals who want to experience the Mass with other like-minded travelers.

“Seeing Pope Francis during this visit to the U.S. is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and we understand that more than 2 million people will be heading to Philadelphia from all over the country. RYDE’s goal is to help worshippers and other fans manage the intense expected gridlock and gain access to this historical Mass,” stated Brian Allman, CEO of RYDE. “We have extensive experience coordinating bus transportation to large events, and are excited to be a part of the Papal visit. RYDE makes access easier while at the same time it helps the environment through reducing carbon emissions by taking 25 to 30 cars off the road with each bus. RYDE's dedication to reducing carbon emissions falls directly in line with Pope Francis' newly stated position of making the environment a central issue for the Church's base.”
