Returning From Afghanistan Marine Returns Home to NH and Gets Back To Work

Trevor Langley, resident of Hopkinton, NH decided to serve his country in 2010 and began his 4 year commitment in the Marine Corp. During his 4 years of service, he was deployed to Afghanistan. He know returns home and to the family business.

Trevor Langley, resident of Hopkinton, NH grew up working for his mom and dad at the well-known Langley Construction Company. He graduated from the University of Maine in 2010 with a degree in Construction Management Technology from the University of Maine Engineering College and was accepted into the prestigious Francis Crow Society of Civil Engineers.  Just as he was about to take a major role and return to full time work at Langley Construction, he made a decision that would be a life changer.  He made the decision to serve his country and in 2010 began his 4 year commitment in the Marine Corp.  His plan was to serve and then return to the job he grew up with and to make full use of his degree and take the reins of Langley Construction.

During his 4 years of service, he was deployed to Afghanistan.  “We had quite a few sleepless nights”, comments Denise Langley, Executive Vice President of Langley Construction and proud mom.

As many families know, when a loved-one is overseas, everything changes and the days are counted off in hopes of a safe return. This was a family commitment, as mom and dad back home structured their construction projects to be ready for Trevor as he returned home in late spring of 2014.  Founded in 1990 by Stephen Langley, Langley Construction is a full service commercial and industrial General Contractor that provides in-depth Construction Management services.

The family owned and operated business has a fierce focus on quality and “zero punch-list” philosophy.  The company has a wide range of recent projects including a large office park redevelopment in Bedford, NH, a small retail tenant fit-up, and on-going industrial plant renovations for Vitex, in Franklin, NH.  Langley’s notable clients include a restaurant, medical center, and a large commercial project for Ray The Mover, as well as renovations for Bonneville & Son Dodge/Jeep Dealership.  “We have a unique niche focus on industrial renovations in occupied businesses.  Our ability to organize the perfect team of experts is unsurpassed, and our clients count on that expertise. We know how vital it is to avoid downtime,” states Stephen Langley, “We understand how to bring together qualified manpower, sometimes from all over the world for the installation of technical equipment. We have brought in specialty engineers from Georgia and Italy to join our qualified manpower to deliver quality, on-time projects. The pre-construction plan is vital to the entire operation.”

When Trevor made the decision to serve his country, he didn’t realize the impact it would have on his future career at Langley Construction.  As a Marine Corp 1st Lieutenant, he was responsible for the leadership of some 50 marines in Afghanistan which gave him valuable experience honing his leadership skills.  Working with different talents to meet the objectives and at the same time adapting to extreme high stress environments is a priceless education.  “Where else can you learn that skill in such a short time?” states Trevor.  Trevor Langley’s first project back in New Hampshire is heading up a new 61,250 sq. ft., two level climate controlled self-storage facility on Mast Road in Goffstown. The project involves extensive site work on the 4.6 acres and will open in the spring of 2015. The state of the art self-storage complex will feature a total of 403 units.  372 climate controlled units ranging from 5’x 5’ to 10’ x 30’ and 21 non climate controlled 10’ x 30’ units with outside access.  Mast Road Self Storage is located on the corner of Mast Road and Tatro Drive, Goffstown, NH and will serve both residential and commercial storage needs.
