Power-Free Shopbox Nominated for Industrial Product Design of the Year Award
The power-free food storage cabinet, The Shopbox, designed by product design agency Trig Creative has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Industrial Product Design of the Year category at the prestigious 2015 Plastics Industry Awards.
UK, October 8, 2015 (Newswire.com) - The awards, which showcase innovative new products, recognises the achievements and excellence of organizations and individuals in the UK plastics industry.
The Shopbox is a power-free food storage cabinet set to revolutionise home delivery services in the food retail industry. The product, which combines the cyclical use of low temperature eutectic technology with high performance insulation, provides safe, secure and stable storage of foods in three states; frozen, chilled, and ambient for twelve hours. This means that customers are no longer tied to a fixed delivery time and also benefits retailers by allowing them to improve vehicle routing and dramatically reduce their carbon footprint.

The Shopbox was launched in April 2015 at an international retailers show in London generating huge retail interest with several test orders placed by leading UK and European grocers.
