SINGAPORE, 24 March 2015 – Naumi Hospitality is pleased to announce that its flagship hotel in Singapore, the 73-room Naumi, clinched the award for “Best Interior Design For Suite” together with local design studio, White Jacket at the inaugural Asia Hotel Design Awards ceremony on 12 March 2015. Launched by Sleeper, organiser of the European Hotel Design Awards, this event was held as part of Singapore Design Week and runs alongside Hospitality 360° - a new exhibition for the hotel sector.

Each of Naumi’s guestrooms is a modern take on stylish living and offers guests a tranquil sanctuary right in the heart of Singapore. Artistic license reigns in the winning design – Habitat room is stylish, sensuous and contemporary. The design emphasizes on the stimulation of all five senses while being luxurious yet not intimidating, a hallmark of Naumi. The bathroom is designed to be part of the bedroom with the iconic ‘lantern’ inspired monolithic island vanity counter as a centrepiece. With the juxtaposition of unique materials, it is designed to be both functional yet intriguing and decorative, adding a different dimension to the neutral and calming palette in the room. The full height sliding personalised coffee and tea bar magically lits up as it slides out. Premium Nespresso coffee and TWG tea sachets will be replenished throughout one’s stay.

The design buck does not stop at Habitat, with designer-inspired themed rooms, such as Andy Warhol’s Eden and Nirwana. The rooms are decked out to resemble a swanky New York penthouse apartment, the oversized bed takes centrestage, with a large circular bathtub hidden behind a revolving screen. Its decadent yet stylish design featured funky shapes, dramatic pops of colour as well as iconic arm chair, “La Mamma” by B&B Italia, paired with floor lamp, “Fork” by Diesel Foscarini. Coco Chanel shines through Gabrielle’s and Camellia’s cool demeanour of chic monochrome and pale green hues, featuring origami pendant lamp “Andromeda” by Calligaris and sculptural “Quarry” accent table in warm silver leaf from Baker, Barbara Barry Collection. Artistic interpretations of Coco Chanel’s iconic flower the Camellia grace the walls, alongside lush floor-to-ceiling silk curtains. The rooms feature large bathrooms with a powerful rain-shower, and a smokescreen bathroom glass panel which switches from clear to frosted at the touch of a button.
