One year ago, Luisa Diaz, founder of Mi Amor Gala, joined forces with Safe Passage, a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that works to repair the damage done from abuse. Since launching, Mi Amor Gala has produced several successful events and raised thousands of dollars for non-profit organizations.

“I am very excited and proud to be able to celebrate our first year anniversary. Domestic Violence is close to my heart,” says Latina powerhouse Luisa Diaz, “…as a little girl when I was growing up I saw my beloved grandmother being verbally and physically abused by my grandfather. Mi Amor Gala has been possible because of a snowball contribution of kindness. I always wanted to help my grandmother, so my involvement in domestic violence is in her honor.”

On October 7, 2015, Mi Amor Gala will host its First Year Anniversary Havana White Soiree. The event will include entertainment, hors d’oeuvres, drinks and a silent auction. Many celebrities will be present; among them will be Adrienne Maloof of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, wife of Marco Antonio Cristian Solis, Natalie Halcro and Olivia Pierson from WAGS on E!, Hunger Games actress Stef Dawson,  Jessica Parker Kennedy from Starz original series Black Sails, Valenzia Algarin from Adult Swim's Black Jesus, Beverly Hills power couple Dustin Quick and Medi Em, Prince Mario-Max Schaumburg-Lippe and his mother Princess Antonia Schaumburg-Lippe, International model and actress Sophie Turner, Eastbound & Down actress Elizabeth De Razzo, Chinese-American actress Bai Ling, domestic violence Survivor/Advocate and the Lead cast of Sangre Negra …with more to come.

This year’s Mi Amor Gala award will go to the incredible Dr. Joel Gould, who has selflessly donated his time and expertise to the survivors of Safe Passage.

Trish Steele, founder and CEO of Safe Passage agrees and expresses her gratitude saying, “Mi Amor Gala has raised more awareness for Safe Passage by the kindness of their mission…[we’ve had] much success over the past year working with Luisa Diaz.”
