Lepton provides MRIGlobal with VSAT terminals and satellite service to support diagnostic laboratories in West Africa

Since November of 2014, Lepton has provided flexible, reliable, and secure reach-back satellite communications capability to MRIGlobal field teams deploying mobile PCR laboratories for testing and evaluation services.
During last year’s Ebola outbreak, MRIGlobal deployed two mobile diagnostic labs to Sierra Leone and Guinea. These customized laboratories provided accelerated diagnosis of more than1,100 samples in an area with otherwise weak telecommunication infrastructure. This feat received deserving acknowledgement from The Wall Street Journal.
MRIGlobal’s teams are currently operating diagnostic laboratories in West African nations, working to identify positive samples of Ebola in support of the National Health System.
