Atlanta, GA, February 24, 2015 (Newswire.com) - Women's groups want answers from Congress as to how a bipartisan effort to reclassify military veterans as non-persons and deny their families private healthcare coverage was able to quietly pass the U.S. House unanimously even though it will affect millions of citizens.
The bill, #HR22, is marketed by the House of Representatives as "Hire More Heroes," but it does not require the hiring of heroes in order for businesses to take advantage of the tax code amendment, and dates back to eligibility since December 31, 2013.
According to an Associated Press review of VA internal documents, inspector general reports and interviews, "About 140 of the 920 community-based clinics serving veterans in rural areas do not have a designated women's health provider, despite the goal that every clinic would have one."

The bill will affect thousands of women veterans who continue to struggle with lack of qualified VA care options for women.
