HealthRHYTHMS Endorsed Facilitator Sets Up Programs in Austin

Evidence-based HealthRHYTHMS programs are coming to Austin. HealthRHYTHMS programs may reduce stress, improve mood states, and strengthen the immune systems of participants.

Erik Dunton, a HealthRHYTHMS® Endorsed Facilitator with Remo, Inc., a music products industry leader, will be offering HealthRHYTHMS programs in Austin. HealthRHYTHMS is an evidence-based group drumming protocol that research shows may reduce stress, improve mood states, and strengthen the immune system function for participants. Research of the HealthRHYTHMS 10-step protocol also indicates it may facilitate improvements in creativity and bonding.

Dunton, recently moved to Austin to establish a HealthRHYTHMS Facilitation practice in the region, Positive RePercussions. He showcased the positive effects of community drumming at Keep Austin Playing, July 15th a citywide play date created by the Austin Parks and Recreation Department to enrich, educate, and empower the Austin Community.  The goal of the event is to cultivate a lifestyle change towards healthy, positive behaviors and attitudes. This goal aligns well with the outcomes of HealthRHYTHMS programs.

"It's time to stop thinking of the drum as just a musical instrument," said Remo Belli, CEO/Founder of Remo, Inc. "Start thinking of it as a unifying tool for every family, a wellness tool for every retiree and an educational tool for every classroom."
