Goa's New Adventure Activities

Recently, the Hot Air Balloon and Amphibious Vessel, along with other projects, were ina ugurated in Goa by Mr Laxmikant Parsekar, the Chief Minister of the State. He said, “Goa  is determined  to  give   tourists   the best  services  and projects here in the  State  which  will  make them  think  of  Goa when they want to plan a vacation.”

This is indeed a historical event for the tourism industry in Goa, one that will give it a constant boost, The hot air balloon will take tourists to the top of Goa’s beautiful landscapes, offering spectacular aerial views of all its amazing sights. On the other hand, Amphibious Vessel will give an adventurous experience of the waterways and bird watching tours.  As many as 34 passengers can be accommodated per trip in this vessel which can function both on land and sea.

With an aim to provide high-end services to a large base of travelers, these ventures are likely to give an unforgettable experience to the tourists. Both in terms of infrastructure and innovation, this is indeed a commendable initiative by Goa Tourism. It is expected that the two new products will accentuate footfalls in the State in the coming months.

Goa, which is well known for its beaches, churches, nightlife, parties and festivals, will now be famous for its adventure activities as well. Availability of cheap fights to Goa will help tourists further to benefit from this adventure.

Se Cathedral: This is one of the largest churches in Asia and has been declared as a heritage site. It is famous for its giant bells and magnificent architecture.

How to reach


Goa by Air : The Dabolim Airport which is 29 kilometres from the state’s capital, Panjim, is well connected by flights from Mumbai, Chennai, New Delhi, Hyderabad, Cochin and Bangalore. Flights to Goa are also available from major international cities in the UK and Germany .

Goa by Rail : The railway stations of Goa are well linked with Mumbai and other parts of the country as well.

Goa by Road: A number of luxury buses ply between Goa and other major cities and towns.


Best time to visit

The ideal time to visit Goa is during the winters. In fact, the place is packed with tourists for Christmas and New Year celebrations. The temperatures are quite pleasant during this time of the year.  The minimum temperature goes down to 15°C and the maximum stays between 20°C to 25°C in November to January.

Even the summer months are not really unpleasant. Goa can therefore be visited and revisited anytime in the year. Tourists easily get cheap tickets to Goa from UK at attractive rates.
