Fulcrum Labs Selects Kaltura to Power Next Generation Training

Adaptive learning programs enriched with video to provide viewers with an engaging learning experience.

Fulcrum Labs, the learning and development agency, and Kaltura, the leading video technology provider, today announced that the companies have joined forces to deliver innovative training and learning programs for companies worldwide. Fulcrum Labs offers a state-of-the-art learning platform, which incorporates video as a key learning element for engaging viewers and improving the effectiveness of training programs.

“Our platform is designed to allow each learner to access the lessons through the modality that works for their learning type. They can watch the lesson as a video, read it as lecture notes or practice the lesson using interactive, adaptive activities," said Fulcrum's CEO, Patrick Weir. “Video is a big part of what makes the course engaging for the learner, and therefore we insisted on deploying the best video solution we could find – Kaltura fit the bill.”

"Fulcrum Labs is the perfect example of an innovative company taking a forward-thinking approach to a very standard use-case that is needed by every organization today. We are delighted to join forces."

Fulcrum creates learning programs for organizations looking to replace or supplement their existing, more traditional training programs with adaptive learning. Fulcrum has just launched a pilot training course with partner Allegiant Travel Company, the first in a series of learning projects that includes Dispatch, Crew Services and Stations training. Kaltura powers all videos within the Fulcrum offering, ensuring that all content is readily accessible and easily managed.

Fulcrum’s competency-based courses feature instant, personalized feedback and optimal challenge (a strategy used successfully by the gaming industry). The courses also come with data analytics dashboards that allow customers to pinpoint the depth and degree to which a concept has been mastered as well as identify critical knowledge gaps, target remediation and optimize the training on an individual learner level or the larger class level. Kaltura’s video analytics are incorporated to help provide a deep analysis of each user’s usage and understanding.

"Fulcrum Labs is the perfect example of an innovative company taking a forward-thinking approach to a very standard use-case that is needed by every organization today. We are delighted to join forces,” said Ron Yekutiel, Kaltura Co-founder, Chairman and CEO. “As video continues to transform every facet of our connected lives, our Video Platform as a Service is designed to power any video experience, with minimal investment, time and resources."
