Film Studio Looks To Erase Student Debt

A film studio in Vancouver is looking to erase student debt by creating a series of courses designed to give hands on training in an active film studio by experts in the field at the fraction of the cost of conventional schools. Eventually if the program proves successful, GFZ Advance will offer the same courses free on via the internet.

GFZ Studios, a company involved in numerous international/Hollywood productions and more recently the Fly Over Canada experience have announced their new project 'GFZ Advance'. A skill training workshop designed to foster the creativity of everyone, not only the elite.

"There's nothing worse than completing an expensive training program only to let debt stand in the way of the creative process. We've created a new workshop that enables students and veterans alike by giving them hands on experience in an actual film studio while simultaneously working with established industry experts" says Geoffery Anthony CEO of GFZ Studios.

The workshops operates at a fraction of the cost of conventional graduate programs. By working in an active film studio with industry professionals, GFZ Advance seeks to foster a community of unbound creative individuals prepared to self employment.

The workshops also cater to High School students who may want to try out programs before deciding if they're interested in the industry. There are entry level courses designed to give beginners first hand experience in the field. Students will also make crucial industry connections working in an actual studio environment. Many of the tutors are leading visual effect and post production experts.

"It's important to be able to determine whether you're interested in an aspect of film production before you spend thousands of dollars trying to get the training you need. We'll be offering the training and real world setting without any threat to a students future." ~Geoffery Anthony CEO.

GFZ Advance currently offers workshops in Photoshop and Nuke, and is adding Adobe Premiere and After Effects in the summer curriculum.
