Equal Earth Unwinding Acquisition of Hawaii Retail Services

San Diego, CA, April 24, 2015 (Newswire.com) - Equal Earth today announced that it has substantially completed the unwind of the acquisition of Hawaii Retail Services, a specialty retail services company based out of Oahu. The Hawaii Retail Services transaction is being unwound based on the post- acquisition discovery of material undisclosed irregularities and other operational audit failures.

Based on the seller’s actions Equal Earth confirms that as of March 23, 2015, Hawaii Retail Services is no longer a part of the Equal Earth portfolio although substantial Equal Earth claims will not be resolved until  the completion of the unwind process.  The acquisition was publicly announced in November of last year.
