The difficult task was to provide solar control to a south facing room high on a hill over looking a parkland in Kent. It was essential  the room be kept cool and shaded to protect valuable furnishings and musical instruments.

External shading was not an option due to the nature of the modern construction so the roller blinds were concealed behind a neat powder coated pelmet.

With a south-facing aspect it was necessary to use the very best fabrics to reduce heat, glare and harmful ultra-violet rays, but they should also permit sunlight and not obscure the stunning window views. Mermet Screen Fabrics were used  which offers all the practical benefits as well as looking beautiful. Somfy Sonesse electric blind motors were specified , these motors are hidden inside the blind tubes so they are completely out of sight and are controlled by  remote control handsets and are very silent in operation.
