Celebrating Women Who Move the Nation - Atlanta CEO Receives Transportation Award
Cynthia Jones Parks of Jones Worley, received the CWWMN Award from The Conference of Minority Transportation Officials.
Washington, DC, March 11, 2015 (Newswire.com) - The Conference of Minority Transportation Officials (COMTO) hold their annual Celebrating Women Who Move the Nation breakfast this morning (March 11) in Washington, D.C. in salute to Women's History Month.
The COMTO will be honoring Atlanta President and CEO, Cynthia Jones Parks with the Celebrating Women Who Move the Nation Award. Parks is the founder of Atlanta-based marketing communications firm, Jones Worley.
Parks, An Atlanta native, has gained a national reputation for outstanding work in the transportation industry in the areas of marketing, strategic communications, branding, wayfinding and sign design. Her firm, which is celebrating 25 years in business, leads the nation in transit smart card implementation. The niche was carved when Jones Worley launched the MARTA "Breeze" Card in 2004 in what was the first 100 percent smart card implementation in North America.
Jones Worley has since developed seven other transit smart card contracts for transit authorities from California to Florida, giving the firm the distinction of implementing more smart card programs than any other agency in the U.S.
