Book Marketing for Writers Is a Social Science

Book marketing via social media needn't be the puzzling time suck many authors struggle with. A new book, #AmWriting by Dave Lynch, takes a creative look at how writers can actually use social media in just minutes a day.

#AmWriting is about the use of hashtags to construct a platform independent marketing campaign without  any paid advertising. The book is available  for pre-orders on Amazon's Kindle worldwide and will be available in paperback on the launch date of October 14th. Interested parties should search the ASIN no. B015ZS01FK in their local Amazon store - or search for #AmWriting, also in their local store. The book will be released at 99c initially, but the price is expected to go up.

Hashtags have been an underlying component of the Internet and how people interconnect on it for years. #AmWriting is a 50 page book with some illustrations that delves into a few of the less well known applications of hashtags that big name businesses are using to promote their coroprate brands today, and show authors how to take advantage of the same marketing practices for free.

The author, Dave Lynch says "In 2014, I wrote a guide for small businesses that focused on curating web content from competitors, discovering what people were sharing and curating it. Hashtags were a core characteristic of that guide. The guide sold well and I got a lot of great feedback  from it. Having shifted my business goals to provide PR services for authors, it occured to me that I could rewrite that guide with authors in mind and put it out in a worldwide marketplace with a price point to suit every budget. It's a win-win situation.

Unlike web links, hashtags present a kind of wormhole in the 'net that allows users bypass standard linking and create their own content links. It's like becoming Neo and manipulating the Matrix."
