Between the World and Me - New Book Release

Three women share their tale of love, loss, betrayal and more through the rhythm of sexy, gritty and urban poetry. Jean Stallings, D. L. Martin and M. Emily combine forces to produce a three-part trilogy.

Between the World and Me includes more than 40 poems complete with illustrations, online resources for writers and personal memoir pages. The anthology includes such gems as, Playboy, Ode to a Thug, Bittersweet, Playboy and Loneliness.

Says Escribe spokesperson, Sharon Cash, “If your relationship with your significant other is less than ideal,  plan to pick up a copy of BTWM and then curl up in your easy chair with your favorite glass of wine. Each poem  tells a story anyone in less than an ideal relationship can relate to.”

Currently the book  is exclusively available for sale at amazon.com. In approximately six to eight weeks, readers will be able to purchase copies from more than 25 other online book resellers and distributors.

 About the Authors

When asked about her interest in poetry, Jean states, “I know the love of poetry was embedded in me, but I did not know what to do with these thoughts, ideas, or phrases until I saw my first live poetry reading.” Jean herself has also read and hosted local spoken word and poetry events in her North Carolina community. D. L. Martin. Diane Martin, (D.L.) has been writing poetry for more than 30 years, hails from New York. The Between the World and Me collaboration with Jean Stallings and M. Emily represents the first time her collection is being published. Asked why she waited so long, D.L. indicated, “There have been so many other priorities in my life, that until now, I just haven’t been able to find the time to make this happen.”  Perspectives, represents Part III of the trilogy and is for M. Emily her first published work. For her, writing has always been a very personal release.
