Analysis of the Reasons Manufacturing Companies Implement Microsoft Dynamics NAV

Jersey City, NJ, May 8, 2015 (Newswire.com) - In today's ever stiffening competition in the global business environment, ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) solutions have become indispensable for manufacturing companies. But despite the availability of several high-end ERP solutions, Dynamics NAV still holds the edge over its peers and continues to be the most preferred ERP solution of the manufacturers. Hence, we tried to investigate into the reasons for the immense popularity of Dynamics NAV amongst the manufacturers.

In our study showed that there are 3 primary reasons why manufacturers opt for Dynamics NAV, which are enhanced visibility, increased collaboration, and innovative abstract. We interviewed over 100 manufacturing companies in the US that have been using Dynamics NAV, and found that enhanced visibility was cited as the best feature highlight of Dynamics NAV by 35% of respondents, increased collaboration by 23%, and innovative abstract by 19%; while the remaining 23% cited other reasons like ease-of-customization (11%), cost efficiency (7.5%), user-friendliness (6%), and so on.

Our study also showed that the most liked feature of Dynamics NAV also depended on the size of the manufacturing company. For example, an overwhelming majority of blue chip manufacturers (over 52%) cited increase in collaboration as the most liked attribute of Dynamics NAV, while 36% of medium-size manufacturers and 48% small-size manufacturers considered enhanced visibility and innovative abstract respectively, as the most highlighting aspect of Navision.

Regardless of the differences in most-liked feature of Dynamics NAV, one thing is certain that Dynamics NAV is the most preferred ERP solution of the manufacturers, be it small, medium or large size manufacturers.
