Oliver Wight EAME Announces Further Growth With Third New Partner Appointment In Six Months

Business improvement specialist, Oliver Wight, has appointed another new partner. Independent consultant, Jerry Shanahan, becomes the third new recruit for the IBP specialists since April 2010.

Independent consultant, Jerry Shanahan, has joined business improvement specialist, Oliver Wight and becomes the third new recruit for the company since April 2010, following the appointment of French consultant, Catherine Schmitt-Weber, and South African consultant, Sean Du Sart.

Jerry has extensive experience in both the electronics and medical device industries, where he has held a number of senior positions, including Managing Director of Cabletron Ireland, Chief Operating Officer of Enterasys Networks and, most recently, Vice President of International Operations for DePuy.

"People are the most important resource in any organisation's drive for business improvement," he says. "I hope to use the skills gained in my previous roles, along with a results-focused approach, to help companies transform their operating culture into one which aligns the entire organisation behind the journey towards business excellence."

Jerry's experience includes direct responsibility for operations in both US and European organisations, and he has personally directed many significant change initiatives. He has also provided management consultancy to large multi-nationals, SMEs, Manufacturing & Service operations, as well as start up organisations

Jerry has a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (BE) degree from University College Cork and a Masters of Science (MSc) in Total Quality Management from the University of Limerick.
