Pete and Gerry's Organic Eggs and Barowsky's Organic Bread are sponsoring the Big Organic Breakfast Bar at the Head of the Charles Regatta on October 22-24 and serving an all-organic breakfast of orange juice, breakfast sandwiches, coffee and yogurt.
October 19, 2010 (Newswire) - Head of the Charles Regatta athletes and spectators can again get a nutritious, all-organic breakfast at the Big Organic Breakfast Bar on October 22tnd, 23rd and 24th. All while supporting an innovative Boston-area nonprofit, The Carrot Project.
The Big Organic Breakfast Bar will be located in the food court area of the Rowing & Fitness Expo. It will serve breakfast sandwiches made with Pete and Gerry's organic eggs, Barowsky's organic English muffins and Applegate Farms organic bacon. It will also serve Stonyfield Farm organic yogurt Smoothies, Uncle Matt's organic orange juice and Green Mountain organic coffee. All ingredients are certified organic, and even the cooking oil will be Catania-Spagna organic canola oil.
Two professional chefs will be preparing the food and The Carrot Project will be serving in return for a donation to their organization. The Big Organic Breakfast Bar raised more than $3000 dollars for this deserving group last year and hopes to do even better this year.
The Carrot Project is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating financing solutions for small- and midsized, limited-resource farms using ecologically sound practices. Their unique program is designed to incubate and establish alternative financing programs in combination with business technical assistance.
The Head of the Charles Regatta is the world's largest rowing event. It attracts almost 3,000 athletes and over 200,000 spectators, making it one of Boston's three largest annual events. Winding past MIT and Harvard, the Regatta draws university and college rowing teams from around the world.
