Randall R. Saxton Awarded Highest Honor by Fellow Bankruptcy Attorneys

​​Bankruptcy attorneys from across the state awarded Randall R. Saxton from Saxton Law, PLLC with the group’s highest honor on Thursday evening. Mr. Saxton was awarded the American Institute of Bankruptcy Attorneys (AIOBA) “10 Best” Award for Client Satisfaction, given annually to attorneys who have achieved unparalleled success but most importantly have done so for the benefit of their client.

“I am honored to receive this award from my respected colleagues and I am proud of the work that we have accomplished through AIOBA,” Mr. Saxton said. “Many attorneys can achieve high degrees of success but this is often times at the expense or satisfaction of the most important person in the case- the client.”

Hanis in presenting the award. “His dedication, judgment, and hands-on approach to the office have made the attorneys with whom he has worked, as well as AIOBA as an association, better in numerous and important ways.”

Brian J. Hanis cited Mr. Saxton’s work on behalf of Mississippi residents and citizen, particularly for having attained the highest degree of professional achievement in his field of law and having done so with an impeccable Client Satisfaction rating.

Patrick Best had nominated Mr. Saxton for this award, emphasizing Mr. Saxton’s dedicated service to the law over the past four years.

“Randall deserves to be recognized with this award for his willingness to take on a myriad of responsibilities that were of tremendous benefit to the organization,” said Mr. Best. “Despite philosophical differences he might have had with colleagues, as we all do, Randall was always cordial and professional and always looking for ways to bridge differences to arrive at a means to move forward.”

Randall R. Saxton is a bankruptcy attorney in Madison, MS and is the founding attorney of Saxton Law, PLLC, which serves as general counsel for Randall Saxton Real Estate, Inc. and R&S Development, Inc.. Practicing in the areas of business planning, estate planning, tax controversy, and bankruptcy, Randall also serves as the JAG officer for the Mississippi State Guard, Vice President of the Mississippi State Guard Association, on the Board of Directors of the Madison Chamber of Commerce, and on the Executive Committee for the Madison County Republican Party. He does volunteer work with the Mission First Legal Aid Clinic and as a Mediator for the Jackson Municipal Court.

He is a member of  the Conference of Mississippi Prosecutors, the Mississippi Bankruptcy Conference and the American Bankruptcy Institute. Randall regularly represents individuals, lenders, landlords, and suppliers in state and federal court in Mississippi, in litigation arising out of the debtor/creditor relationship, including commercial and consumer collections, possessory actions, judicial and non-judicial foreclosures, receiverships, and related defense litigation.  He has extensive experience representing taxpayers in state court litigation, and as debtors in disputes arising under Chapters 7, 11, 12, and 13 of the Bankruptcy Code. Randall routinely represents taxpayers and debtors in bankruptcy court, in contested matters and adversary proceedings, in both commercial and consumer cases. He also has a wide range of experience in other state and federal court litigation, including consumer finance litigation, construction disputes, real estate, felony crimes, DUI, and served as a Summer Clerk at the United States Supreme Court.

Randall is a graduate of Mississippi College, where he majored in History and English, receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in 2006. He also holds a Master of Social Sciences in Administration of Justice, before attending law school at the Mississippi College School of Law, and graduating from there in 2010 as a Doctor of Jurisprudence.

Randall is married to Madeline W. Saxton, Regional Business Development and Marketing Coordinator for Jones Walker, LLP, and is a member of First Baptist Church in Jackson. His family enjoys photography, traveling, and their corgi, Hudson.
