New Documentary "Remixing Colorblind" Opens Honest Discussion on Race in America

Remixing Colorblind takes a compelling view of campus life and institutions of higher learning, and how they shape our understanding of race. It examines the nuances of race relations including notions of implicit bias, individual racism, institutional racism and reverse racism on American campuses through a series of honest interviews with students, as well as thought and opinion leaders.

On February 25 a new documentary, “Remixing Colorblind,” written, directed and produced by Dr. Sheena C. Howard, will have its premiere screening at The Landmark Theatres, Ritz at the Bourse, in Philadelphia, PA.

This documentary examines how the educational system today shapes our understanding of race.  Various aspects of the race problem are explored through conversations with faculty, administrators, teachers, guidance counselors and young people across different types of academic institutions, including HBCU’s (Historic Black Colleges/Universities), predominantly White institutions, inner city high schools and on-the-street interviews.

Tickets can be purchased in advance starting February 1 at the theater's website or at the box-office, Ritz at the Bourse, 400 Randstead St., Philadelphia, PA 19106.
