New Directions Community Outreach, Inc. Hosts Its 2nd Annual Easter Egg Hunt And Celebration

New Directions Community Outreach, Inc. (NDCO) uses this time each year to focus on children who are a part of the many homeless and struggling families it serves by hosting a Community Easter Egg Hunt and Celebration.

New Directions Community Outreach, Inc. (NDCO) uses this time each year to focus on children who are a part of the many homeless and struggling families it serves by hosting a Community Easter Egg Hunt and Celebration. Last year, NDCO was able to gift 100 underprivileged children with Easter baskets. This year's event is set to run from 1-4pm on April 23rd and its goal is to bestow these same gifts and more, to twice as many children throughout the community.

WHO: New Directions Community Outreach, Inc. (NDCO) is a 501 © 3 nonprofit organization started by Debra Thomas in 2004. It began as a grass-root, feeding program and community effort to address the lack of services available to the homeless and poor throughout the city.

WHAT: Children of homeless and poor families within the local community can participate an afternoon full of fun, music, food, and Easter holiday activities free of charge. Children will be served hotdogs, hamburgers, snacks and beverages, take part in a traditional Easter egg hunt, egg decorating and receive special Easter basket gifts.

WHEN: Saturday, Apr. 23 2011 1 P.M. - 4 P.M.

HOW: This is event is made possible by generous contributions from local grocers, businesses, individuals and NDCO volunteers and staff.
