In 1988 David released his album "Cristofori's Dream" which stayed at the top of the charts for 27 weeks and by 1993 was certified gold. Little known is that "Cristofori's Dream" was titled to pay tribute to Bartolomeo Cristofori, an 18th century harpsichord maker and inventor of the modern piano.

David's "Christmas Eve" album is considered by many to be their favorite holiday CD. David Lanz was a musician on the well-known song: "Seasons in the Sun" which was #1 on the pop charts; David's 1st solo album was "Heart Sounds," followed by "Cristofori's Dream" the #1 position on Billboard's Adult/Alternative New Age Album, then David Lanz released the CD's "Skyline Firedance," "Return to the Heart," "Bridge of Dreams," "Christmas Eve," "Convergence," "Scared Road," "Songs from an English Garden," "East of the Moon," and other CD's including "Finding Paradise." David contributed to the Grammy Award-winning "Acoustic Garden" album. And his latest release is the Beatles' inspired CD entitled: "Liverpool: Re-Imaging the Beatles'." Music publishing Giant, Hal Leonard, has released over a dozen songbooks of David's piano music, and the popular instructional piano video, "Through the Hands of David Lanz." David's creativity and success in Contemporary Instrumental music has spanned 4 decades.
