• Credit cards offer travel perks that debit cards don't. Some credit cards for example, offer a trip cancellation or interruption insurance in case something comes up and you can't pay for the trip.

• Credit cards also offer a number of other protection services, such as price protection, which will refund the difference of an item you bought if you find a lower price within a certain period. Purchase protection and extended warranty cover consumers in case something is broken or stolen.
