Memory Care Living® is a New Jersey provider of specialized, small-scale, home-like housing and care for adults with Alzheimer's and dementia.
The National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners®, LLC was formed in 2001 by a group of specialists with varying work and personal experiences in the field of dementia care. The Council was formed to promote standards of excellence in dementia and Alzheimer's Disease education for practitioners and other caregivers who provide services to dementia clients. Certification is awarded to
certain professionals working within the field of dementia care who complete required training and meet other specifications. The NCCDP® is recognized internationally as a leader in standards for dementia care.
The home Nurse Managers, Family Care Specialists and corporate staff at Memory Care Living®, including the Assistant Vice President of Resident Care Services and the Director of Programming, became Certified Dementia Practitioners in January 2014.
"We are delighted to have created this relationship with the NCCDP," said Erik Hammerquist, Senior Vice President of Operations for Memory Care Living®, "and we are extremely proud of our employees for achieving certification.
