Keller Williams Mega Agent and marketing mastermind Lori Ballen taught a class of real estate agents from all over the United States how to build a company operations manual
April 14, 2014 (Newswire) - This Webinar occurred on Wednesday the 10th of April and was broadcasted from Summerlin, Las Vegas. In this 90 minute webinar Lori Ballen, who owns a top producing real estate team in Las Vegas yet doesn't sell real estate herself, showed real estate agents from around the United States how to build an online operations manual using Wordpress.
What Lori has done for her operations manual is taken everything she does in her organization and created a "how to" training posts for each task. In addition to her own training, Lori has taken the time to create a library of associate training to share with her real estate and administrative teams.
Over time each team member is then directed to add to or revise the operations manual as the company grows. In her operations manual she includes everything from how the phone is answered, to listing presentations, to online marketing, lead coordination and so on.
In this webinar taught on Wednesday, Lori focused on teaching the setup of the operations manual. She also taught on installing other users with special permissions to control privacy, how to set up pages and use categories, and what to do in creating instructional posts.
Lori also encouraged capturing video for expanding knowledge base. Attaching files and links to the operation posts is also a great addition to an online operations manual. Another few tips Lori gave in her webinar is step by step screen captures for software or online tasks. She also gave her online audience instruction on what to include in the operations manual.
Getting employees to also contribute to the operations manual is a huge step toward a successful company handbook. "Even if you have nobody else besides you in your organization today, starting this operations manual will save you a lifetime of training later." Lori stated during her class.
Lori now hires her team members and simply plugs them into the operations manual and then holds them accountable for independent training and results.
"The operations manual does not replace accountability, but it can completely replace the "step by step how to" you find yourself doing with each new hire." Lori says. Living in a transient town such as Las Vegas, Lori has saved countless hours training new hires or existing employees on new tasks or responsibilities.
