Local Key West restaurant adds flavor to iconic Fantasy Fest Parade in 2013 with exclusive viewing and reservations-only dining event.
October 25, 2013 (Newswire) - In total contradiction to what was once known as the slowest time of the year for tourism, Fantasy Fest in Key West, Florida has grown from a single-night party into a ten-day event, rivaling such internationally acclaimed reveries as New Orleans' Mardi Gras and Rio's Carnival. The annual Fantasy Fest Parade is a riotous highlight, and one Key West restaurant, boasting an exclusive above-the-street view, is making this event even more memorable for a limited number of lucky patrons.
Renowned across the island for its signature Key West dining patio, Roof Top Cafe offers a one-of-a-kind view of the greatest party on the island, so co-owners Norman and Wednesday Vogel thought why not make it a dinner party, as well? Fantasy Fest is about decadence in all its many forms, so the addition of sumptuous food and fine cocktails is a natural segue to this end.
"Fine food is our passion," says Executive Chef, Brendon Orr, "and we take that passion with us into the kitchen. It's in every detail; every dish." Of the Roof Top Cafe exclusive Fantasy Fest Parade event, Chef Orr explains, "Many of our patrons are visiting us for the first time with this event. When the evening comes to a close, we want them to know that we can serve up decadence to a large group for Fantasy Fest just as easily as we can induce romance in an intimate setting for two."
Located on the second floor overlooking Front Street, guests have the opportunity to watch the parade as it passes right below them, relaxing in luxury high above the throngs of people filling the street.
Seating for this event is limited, and reservations are required. $200 per person ensures not only the best seats on the island for the iconic Fantasy Fest Parade, but also a mouth-watering four-course dinner buffet including, naturally, fresh Gulf shrimp cocktail upon arrival. And, of course, no dinner experience would be complete without the best Key Lime pie on the island; another Roof Top Cafe specialty.
