KBE Building Corporation Congratulates Rosalia Marques on Earning LEED Green Associate Certification

Online, January 4, 2013 (Newswire.com) - KBE Building Corporation (KBE) (www.kbebuilding.com) congratulates Rosalia Marques on earning her LEED Green Associate Certification.

LEED, or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, was developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) in 2000 and provides verification that a building was designed and built using aspects of efficient environmental health conservation strategies.

The LEED Green Associate certification is given to professionals who have demonstrated knowledge of current green design, construction, and operations. LEED Green Associates earn the certification by passing a two-hour exam that tests them on a broad understanding of green building principles and practices. Each associate must maintain their certification by completing 15 hours of continued education every two years.

Recently, Rosalia Marques joined KBE as a Project Engineer. Previously, she has worked as an Assistant Project Manager for Itek Construction and Consulting, Inc., an Estimator for David Allen Company, Inc., and as a Project Manager and Engineer for several companies in Brazil. She graduated from Universidade Católica in Brazil with a Bachelor of Arts in Civil Engineering and is currently pursuing an Associate Degree in Construction Management at Montgomery College in Maryland.
