Restaurants and lodging properties across the state are taking part in Restaurant Week held May 16-23, 2014. The eight-day event, a program of the New Hampshire Lodging & Restaurant Association (NHLRA), features restaurants presenting three-course prix fixe lunch and/or dinner menus at super savings. "Our annual Restaurant Week has been successful in showing what cutting-edge culinary talent the Granite State has to offer!" said Mike Somers, President & CEO of the NHLRA.
"The New Hampshire Liquor Commission is proud to be the presenting sponsor of NH Restaurant Week. This is really a natural partnership for us as we work directly with thousands of restaurants providing licensing, education and training programs on a daily basis," said New Hampshire Liquor Commission Chairman Joseph W. Mollica. "A vibrant restaurant industry is good for the Commission and the entire state. Sales to our licensees played a significant part in our recent record $603.5 million in total sales for Fiscal Year 2013 and to the $145.6 million we returned to General Fund, which is used to fund programs including education, health and social services, transportation and natural resource protection."
"Comcast Business and Comcast Spotlight couldn't be happier in supporting Restaurant Week in New Hampshire," commented John Sullivan, "We know how important the hospitality industry is to New Hampshire and showcasing the culinary talent here just makes sense. I know we will be dining out a lot during Restaurant Week and hope everyone in the state takes advantage of this great opportunity."
