Dead End Street LLC today announced the release of CapClash (www.capclash.com), the free caption contest game for iPhone that lets users turn their own photos into sharable memes.
With CapClash, players pick one of their most wacky or interesting photos and invite friends to enhance it with funny or clever captions. The winning caption as chosen by the photographer is awarded a hefty sum of "CapCoins" to spend on in-game items like effects, fonts, speech bubbles and more.
CapClash is fully integrated with Facebook, so players can use photos from their own Facebook albums to turn any memory into a funny round of captioning. Players can invite specific Facebook friends to play, open the game up to their whole network, or choose a public game where any user can find a photo and join in the competition. Once a game is complete, friends can share winning photos and great runners-up on their timelines, and easily share their results via Twitter, email and more.
- Use iPhone or iPod touch camera, or pick from existing photos on camera roll or Facebook albums
- Customize captions with fonts, colors and speech bubbles
- Add borders, photo effects, and funny clipart
- Connect with friends via Facebook
- Share results across social media
- Enter the Game of the Day
CapClash is available for free from the App Store on iPhone and iPod touch or at www.AppStore.com.
CapClash is the first app from start-up Dead End Street LLC, a Massachusetts-based software company formed in 2013. Dead End Street is made up of three childhood friends who grew up together on a dead end street in suburban Massachusetts: an animator, a software designer, and an audio engineer.
