Encinitas, CA----The Grauer School is offering a week-long Summer Workshop to help students prepare for the complicated task of selecting a college or university of their choice on August 2 - 6, 2010.

Encinitas, CA----The Grauer School is offering a week-long Summer Workshop to help students prepare for the complicated task of selecting a college or university of their choice on August 2 - 6, 2010. Conducted by English Teacher and Counselor, Tricia Shemwell, the workshop, "College Application Preparation (CAP)", will provide valuable insight and instruction on developing a personalized organizational system for each Senior. The presentation includes the following components: a calendar of important dates with deadlines; pre-completed UC and CSU applications on paper (for easy transfer online); completing the Common Application online; college essays edited and critiqued and direction in writing a personal resume of activities for submission.

According to Clayton Payne, Independent Studies Director and Summer School Principal, "Grauer School students are extraordinarily well-prepared for the college application process, in part due to this informative workshop. The college acceptance and scholarship offers our graduating students receive consistently outperform that of other schools. This workshop is an integral component that provides a distinct advantage to all students, regardless of whether or not they are enrolled here."
