Grammy Nominated Music Artist, Twista Prepares To Release Ninth Studio Album, The Dark Horse

Twista's New Album Dark Horse Pre-Sale Begins July 1st 2014

Propelled to fame by his hit single, "Slow Jamz" (ft. Kanye West and Jamie Foxx), platinum-selling rapper, Twista, quickly captivated the attention of industry trailblazers and put Chicago on the hip-hop map. Now, the Grammy nominated music artist is stepping back onto the scene with his signature double-time rap style that made him an "Overnight Celebrity," in 2004. Twista recently released his hit single "It's Yours," Ft. Tia London. The debut single displays a melodic, RnB hook, combined with Twista's trademark style, introducing the sound and direction of his upcoming 2014 album, The Dark Horse (August 12th, 2014). The Dark Horse is available for pre-sale, July 1st 2014 on iTunes, bit.ly/1iRy0vc.

The Windy City rapper has significantly influenced rap music, with his infectious, rhythmic sound being incorporated by nearly everyone in the game, from Jay-Z to Eminem. However, Twista continues to be a "Dark Horse" in mainstream music, giving the title for his new album a deeper meaning. The Dark Horse, Twista's ninth studio album, showcases his classic style with a fresh twist, "people want to hear that fierce Twista stuff that they know and love. The main thing I'm doing with this album is staying true to what people know that I do." The album is largely produced by longtime friend, The Legendary Traxster. Featuring 13 records and guest collaborations with R. Kelly, Chief Keef, Wiz Khalifa, Berner, Tech N9ne and many more, The Dark Horse is undoubtedly something to watch for this summer.

Additionally, Twista has been working on various business ventures, most recently the upcoming SoleExpo.com. The Sole Expo is a national sneaker show that will launch July 19-20, 2014, in Chicago IL, bringing together some of today's greatest "sneakerheads," and influencers in the music and sports industries. While Twista is always looking for new opportunities, he always finds his way back into the studio, "My love is really with the music, I keep doing it and staying in it because I love music. I still get excited every time I hear a beat or think of a different flow."
