Governor Scott to Lead Florida Delegation to SEUS/Japan Annual Joint Meeting
Florida Governor Rick Scott will lead a delegation representing the state to promote ties of trade, investment, education, tourism and friendly relations between Florida and Japan.
Online, October 18, 2013 (Newswire.com) - Governor Rick Scott's office has confirmed that he will lead the Florida Delegation of business leaders to this year's Annual Joint Meeting of Southeast U.S./Japan Association, Inc. and Japan U.S./ Southeast Associations in Biloxi, Mississippi, from November 17-19, 2013.
Governor Scott said, "I am excited to lead a delegation to Mississippi this year to help create more jobs and opportunities for Florida families. Florida is perfectly positioned to be a global hub for business and we are committed to growing our relationship across the world in order to create more jobs for Floridians. I also look forward to visiting Japan next month to grow more trade opportunities between Florida and Japan."

The mission of SEUS/JAPAN is to promote ties of trade, investment, education, tourism and friendly relations between Florida and Japan, and the six other southeastern member states (Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee). The Association has a long history of service to and partnership with the State of Florida/ Governor's Office in carrying out its mission, and it works closely with the state's official economic development partnership, Enterprise Florida.
