GM Considering Payment to Those Injured or Killed as a Result of Ignition Malfunctions

Online, June 30, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Facing intense public criticism and federal scrutiny, General Motors is moving forward with determining the scope of injuries and deaths caused by an ignition defect that the company has known about for more than 13 years. To date, GM has not made public the full scope of injuries and deaths caused by this faulty product, citing privacy concerns for the injured. However, many experts believe that the number of crashes and injuries linked to the faulty ignition is higher than the previously reported 54 accidents and 13 deaths.
