Experience Central NH's Fall Season Over Quintessential October Long Weekend

Enjoy the ideal weekend to see what autumn offers in New Hampshire Lakes Region

October is wildly popular in central New Hampshire among tourists for good reason: fall foliage, sweater weather, and a holiday weekend perfect for taking advantage of the state's year-round tax-free shopping and classic autumn events, according to the Lakes Region Tourism Association.

Average temperatures during Columbus Day weekend fall in the 60s in the Lakes Region. Visitors love wearing light layers during a time of year that's comfortable for a long walk or hike, a day of outlet shopping, or taking the final opportunity to dine outdoors at one of the area's many restaurants.
