Map data manufacturer adds service features and infrastructure capacity to Network Insight Pro.
Europa Technologies has today announced the enhancement of its mobile coverage map service, Network Insight Pro, which provides domestic and roaming coverage maps to any web site.
Network Insight Pro powers the online coverage maps published by many network operators worldwide. It is currently used by several operating companies within major groups including Vodafone, Telefonica, Orange and T-Mobile.
The new version of Network Insight Pro supports secure web sites (https://), a dynamic legend for the control of coverage overlays, extended language support and a tripling of the server infrastructure powering the service.
The new dynamic legend support allows multiple coverages - typically roaming partners - to be displayed but independently controlled. This is particularly useful when displaying 3G or 4G coverage, since these top-most layers can be quickly switched off by the end user to reveal the underlying 2G coverage.
Network Insight Pro now supports a user interface and digital mapping in 14 languages including those from Western Europe plus Japanese, Arabic, Russian and Hebrew. This brings the benefits of localisation for the user while supporting the market need for a global approach to coverage maps.
