Mr. Ngoh Kheng Seng currently serves as a percussionist / timpanist with the Singapore Chinese Orchestra (SCO) which he joined in 1997. He had the honor to be one of the first percussionists to join and perform with the Asian Youth Orchestra under Maestro Yehudi Menuhin in 1989 and 1990 respectively.
During his tenure with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra (SSO), he was awarded the best percussionist for 2 years by Maestro Lim Yau. Between 2001-2003, Ngoh Kheng Seng was the chairman of the National Youth Percussion Festival. Currently, Kheng Seng is coaching award winning Bands and Chinese Orchestras and has been the percussion instructor for the Singapore Youth Chinese Orchestra since 2003.
For one day only, Mr. Ngoh will give an introduction of the various percussions and he will perform live for the participants as well. Participants will also have a chance to lay their hands on the various percussions during the workshop.
