DTR Inc. CEO Jay Goldberg Announces First Free Seminar on the College Sports Recruiting Process

The free seminar will be held on Monday night, October 24th from 7:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Jupiter High School.

DTR Inc., CEO, Jay Goldberg, is a former Program Manager for the Palm Beach County Resource Center, a 501(c)(3) not for profit corporation that helped small businesses.

The Palm Beach County Resource Center had a philosophy regarding the services it provided to clients. The Center would inform entrepreneurs and business management for free on what they should be doing to improve their business' chances for success. Entrepreneurs could then decide to implement those practices on their own, educate themselves on how to perform those functions, hire a consultant, or hire the Center to help implement those practices. The key was informing entrepreneurs and business management on what was needed (e.g. cash flow management, strategic planning, marketing & branding, etc.) and why those practices were needed, so that they had a better chance for business success.

Today, DTR Inc. is announcing that it is implementing a similar approach to college sports recruiting. DTR Inc.'s CEO, Jay Goldberg will be conducting free seminars on the college sports recruiting process to inform high school student-athletes and their parents or guardians on the college sports recruiting process. The goal is for them to be aware of the college sports landscape, understand the steps they need to take to become certified eligible to play sports in college, understand the college sports recruiting process so that they correctly interpret where they stand throughout the process, and to understand that they need to take an aggressive approach, not a passive approach, towards marketing themselves to colleges.

These seminars will be information, not sales events.

The first free seminar will be Monday, October 24, 2011 from 7:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Jupiter High School. Seating for the free seminar is limited based on classroom size. Registration for the free seminars is through www.CollegeSportsRecruitingInfo.com. You cannot register at Jupiter High School.

The speaker, DTR Inc. CEO Jay Goldberg, MBA, is a former Citibank executive, a published author, an accomplished teacher and speaker, and has developed workplace training programs held in high regard in the workforce development board network. Recently, Mr. Goldberg completed a two week training program on the college sports recruiting process.

Immediately, Mr. Goldberg saw the correlation between the college sports recruiting process and the services he provides to his business clients. Education/training, strategic decision-making, and marketing/branding are required to maximize the chances of high school student-athletes being able to play their sports in college.

Mr. Goldberg also recognizes the similarity between the job search process and the college sports recruiting process, and the need for good work readiness skills in both processes. Mr Goldberg's book and his highly-regarded training program deal with these topics.

Mr. Goldberg's background, accomplishments, recent training, and insights, along with his experience as an effective communicator; make him a good choice to conduct these free seminars on the college sports recruiting process.
