dtac selects Polystar OSIX for Global Roaming Quality and IDD Call Performance Monitoring

Polystar OSIX today announced that Total Access Communication Plc (dtac) has successfully deployed Polystar's market-leading network management solution for Global Roaming Quality and IDD (International Direct Dialling) Call Performance Monitoring.

Stockholm, Sweden, 18 May 2010 - Polystar OSIX, a leading supplier of OSS/BSS solutions, today announced, that Total Access Communication Plc (dtac), telecommunications service provider in Thailand, has successfully deployed Polystar's market-leading network management solution for Global Roaming Quality and IDD (International Direct Dialling) Call Performance Monitoring to enhance dtac's dSmart efficiency of its network and service quality.

In 2009, Polystar was awarded a contract for the Network and Service Assurance solution to cover circuit-switched and VoIP technologies at dtac's network. With the newly implemented system in place, dtac's dSmart will be able to proactively detect any network failures in real-time and rapidly resolve them before they impact the customers. This proactive approach is achieved by using extensive signalling network performance monitoring capabilities and Crystallizer's four-dimensional visualisation of performance data. Furthermore, the system will enable reporting and KPI calculations in compliance with the GSMA "Global Roaming Quality" (GRQ) definition.

Polystar provided the solution that addresses current technical needs and business challenges to the best advantage. The flexibility of the Polystar OSIX platform can easily cater for further network expansions and new functionalities, and played an important role in the evaluation process.
"We are excited to count dtac, a leading operator in South East Asia, to our customer base. Currently, Polystar OSIX collaborates with six operators within the Telenor Group for fixed, mobile and NGN networks worldwide," says Mr. Magnus Broden, Regional Sales Director at Polystar OSIX. This new business relationship will definitely reinforce the existing cooperation with the Telenor Group."
