Change your home forever with abstract art from Anastasia Tversky

Anastasia Tversky presents her art work at the Fine Arts Society of Milton

Appreciating abstract art does not have to be difficult; instead, in the hands of painter Anastasia Tversky, abstract art becomes a beautiful part of daily life, conveying the harmonious yet surprising attributes of shape and color. Ms. Tversky, whose work will be presented by the Fine Arts Society of Milton in a month-long show opening at the Milton Mall on January 7, 2010, has placed her paintings in living rooms, kitchens, and business board rooms across North America. On her website, http://www.felicity-art.com, she emphasizes practicing a refined technique, not only in preparation of paints, but also in the choice of brushes. Her elaborate technical preparations allow her to paint when she feels that her "soul is flooded with inspiration, happiness and excitement."

Her canvases, which range in size from 6"x 6" to 48"x 48", are realized in a variety of mediums, including acrylic and oil paints. In "Creativity," complex, elegantly shadowed whorls give way to smooth, unfettered green plains. Although Ms. Tversky has not explicitly painted a flower, the feeling of floral complexity, sensuality, and ambiguity pervades the canvas. In "Colors for You," Ms. Tversky makes a playful homage to mid-20th century modernists with a canvas split into six cells, with each cell displaying a vibrantly colored version of a hooded, flame-like shape, which seems to be striking different poses in each cell. "The Last Sound of Red," is a study in urgency and passion; a central figure, straddling the visual cues of a violin and a mythical siren, is bisected by a slender yellow bolt, as if to mark the end of a powerful, strident song.

Ms. Tversky's show will have a grand opening on Thursday, January 14th. The artist will be in attendance to discuss her work. Her paintings, which are "inspired by striving for pleasure and filled with mystery" are perfect interior decor for the imaginative and adventuresome. Her elegant blend of color, combined with her intriguing and vivid shapes, immediately inject life into their surroundings. It's difficult to resist the invitation to gaze deeply into the playful curves of "Delusion," or not be struck by the cascading beauty of "Rhapsody."

Ms. Tversky, who is a self-representing artist, specializes in abstract paintings, but is knowledgeable about many other forms of painting, including landscapes, cityscapes, and cuisine art. Her knowledge of what best compliments the decor of a home makes the complexity of her paintings particularly enjoyable; not only do they intrigue the viewer, but they also energize a domestic or professional environment. Her stated desire to fully realize emotions on canvas is evident throughout her work. With her paint brush, she creates scenes that beckon the viewer to look more deeply. By hanging one of Ms. Tversky's paintings, one creates the illusion of additional spaces within a room. It is as if one could walk into her paintings, and be temporarily held in this alternate, warm universe, where curvaceous abstract shapes gleefully waft, revealing themselves in one moment, and coyly disguising themselves the next.

While this exciting show by the Fine Arts Society of Milton will display Ms. Tversky's previously completed works, she is currently available to undertake custom commissions. Her mastery of multiple sized canvases, combined with her fluid rendering of her artistic vision, can compliment virtually any space in a way that is both emotional, complex, and gorgeous.
