Challenge Target Participates in Second Annual Rockcastle 3-Gun Pro-Am Championship Airing on NBC Sports Network
Challenge Targets is pleased to announce that its Pivot Steel Targets were used at the Second Annual Rockcastle Pro-Am 3-Gun Championship, airing on 3-Gun Nation, NBC Sports Network, September 26, 2012.
Online, September 24, 2012 (Newswire.com) - In August 2012 the nation's premier shooting competition site, Rockcastle Shooting Center had partnered with AR15.com to host the Second Annual 3-Gun Pro-Am Championship. It was single largest gathering of competitors and sponsors in the history of 3-Gun. The event was located at Rockcastle Shooting Center in Park City Kentucky (Near Mammoth Cave) in Park City, Kentucky. Over 500 participants from both professional and amateur divisions attended the event that was recorded for 3-Gun Nation Season 3 Episode: AR15.com Pro-AM. It was held over three days from Friday, August 24 through Sunday, August 26, 2012. Challenge Targets had provided steel targets for the championship event.

Participants were faced with eight challenging stages that tested their technical abilities under pressure. Designed by former and current 3-Gun Champions, each stage offered a unique combination that tested the shooters control, accuracy, speed and agility.
Throughout the event, Challenge Targets provided ten of its Pivot Steel Targets as part of the Pro Stage #7 - "Exit Strategy".
"The targets worked great for us. We had the 8" and 10" targets calibrated real light, so any hit on the steel would drop the target but a hit on the wood left it standing. We didn't have any failures or challenges from the shooters about the calibration," said Chad Francis, Range Officer for Pro Stage 7.
Highlighting the quality and durability of each steel target, Francis continued, "A match like this is a great test for any target system because you're running so many shooters through, in a short amount of time."
