Karim Hassam, CIR Realtor and Calgary Urban Living founder, will be attending courses in order to increase knowledge and better serve clients
April 22, 2014 (Newswire) - In order to improve professionalism in the real estate industry, the Calgary Real Estate Board (CREB) will be launching an educational course that all real estate agents will be required to complete.
CREB's Education Manager John Howie emphasized the importance of consistently educating Calgary realtors.
"The course will give our members the tools to be the most professional they can be," he stated.
There is also a course available by RECA (Real Estate Council of Alberta) that real estate professionals are required to take. CREB has structured their course so it will complement the RECA course in terms content.
Howie explained how many committees, departments, and real estate councils were consulted for their input in the course content. In addition to these regulatory bodies, real estate industry members were also consulted for content ideas.
CREB will be offering three levels of courses. One course will be for members with less than two years of experience, the second course will be for members with more than two years of experience, and the third course will be for managers and brokers.
Howie explained that the focus of the course was to highlight the understanding of contracts. The research done for creating the content was based on the top ten areas that were of most concern to the groups consulted.
Calgary Urban Living is confident that completing the course will help to better represent their buyer clients and at the same time provide their seller clients the information needed to get the most for their Calgary home value.
